Program Coordinator Position
The Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Club is seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for a part-time contract position. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating, developing, delivering and evaluating effective programs/activities that facilitate healthy aging.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must reside within the City of Kawartha Lakes
In-depth knowledge of the Fenelon Falls community
Proven experience in motivating, organizing, and leading others
Knowledge and experience creating programs/activities of interest and benefit to seniors
Computer literacy is essential, including proficiency in word processing, presentation design, and remote programming
Preference may be given to applicants who are 55 years of age or older
Position Details:
Hours: 20 hours per week (on-site; may include occasional evenings and weekends)
Compensation: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Accountability: Responsible to the FFSC Board of Directors and will report directly to the FFSC Board President or designate

Duties and Contract Requirements:
Coordinate, create and implement programs/activities to facilitate healthy aging
Secure all necessary program leaders and presenters
Develop evaluation strategies to garner feedback and effectiveness of programs/activities
Manage all details and scheduling related to preparation and execution of programs/activities
Design diverse promotional strategies
Utilize social media and other strategies in program promotion
Explore feasibility of and develop potential for virtual programming
Recruit and coordinate volunteers to effectively carry out necessary tasks related to the programs/activities
Prepare media releases and membership notifications related to programs/activities
Welcome potential club members or those who require club-related information during hours of work
Utilize programs/activities to interest participants in club membership
Create budget and secure approval for programs/activities
Maintain detailed records of work hours
Provide regular progress reports to the FFSC Board of Directors
Ensure organization’s purpose and its mandate are clearly communicated
Maintain strict confidentiality as it pertains to the organization, its Board, membership and volunteers
Carry out any further duties that the Board deems necessary to fulfill the contract position
