Seniors Active Living Centre Official Designation
On August 13, 2026, Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Club was officially designated an Ontario Seniors Active Living Centre by the Honorable Minister Raymond Cho, the Minister of Seniors and Accessibility, at a celebration gala that was held at the club. With this designation comes a yearly grant that supports healthy aging programs for seniors and will enrich and and expand current programs and events. This is a designation the club has worked to achieve for many years and it has finally come to fruition. Minister Cho energetically took part in some of the club’s weekly activities demonstrations - line dancing and BaGua Zhang and thoroughly enjoyed the ReUnion Choir song selection. His presentation included sage advice for healthy aging and engaged the audience with resounding enthusiasm. MPP Laurie Scott, Mayor Elmsie and MP Jamie Schmale were present, as were many club members and members of the community. Thank you to all who were there to celebrate this very special occasion and who signed our Memory Board to honor the SALC designation.
