Happy New Year 2026!

The FFSC Board of Directors wish all of our members a Happy New Year and wish you the very best in 2026! As we head into the new year, we hope to see you at the many activities and special events the club offers as listed on the club's website fenelonseniors.com and on its Facebook page.

In addition to our regular programs and activities, a four week meditation course is being offered January 8, 22, 29 February 5 from 10-11.  Learn how to meditate with Glenda van Koot as your guide.  Learn how and why it works, ways to establish a practice, why it's so powerful, and what will work for you. There is still room in this course. If you wish to take part, please contact the club to register.

Mark your calendars and save the date February 19 for our next Healthy Aging workshop, the theme of which is personal safety and emergency preparedness. More information will follow early in the new year. The next Trivia event will take place on January 29 from 2-4.

Please consider becoming a volunteer at the club. If you are already a volunteer, many thanks for your support and commitment. The club is run completely by volunteers and to keep it running smoothly we need a number of volunteers.

Recycling changes will take place at the club effective Jan. 1, 2026 as a result of the province and municipality policy changes. Recycling as we have known it will no longer be provided by CKL. The club, along with other small businesses, non-for-profit organizations, churches, daycares and others have been left to deal with their recyclables on their own and at their own expense. The FFSC Board have discussed many options and decided that the best option is to contract Miller Waste Systems to have the club's recycling picked up once a month. This will be an additional operating cost for the club. We are asking those who come to our activities and events to do their part in reducing recyclables brought to the club. In particular, if you bring a beverage container (coffee, soft drink, water) to the club, we would appreciate you taking the empty container with you when you leave. Also, please use the marked recycling collection boxes correctly as marked. The contracted service will only be successful if we all work together to reduce and recycle materials correctly. Thank you for your support.

Please remember to renew your membership for 2026 if you have not as yet done so as we need and value every one of our members!
